This year the annual APAC conference took place from February 23rd to 26th. The theme this year was ‘Solid Teaching for Liquid Times’. Five hundred teaching professionals from the public and private sector signed up for the event and had the chance to attend sessions run by top-notch professionals. There were also roundtable events organised alongside raffles, competitions and other activities.

Oxford University Press sponsored the event and two authors, Vanessa Reilly and Nina Lauder gave talks on Encouraging Very Young Children to Communicate and Creating Curiosity in the Classroom. Both sessions were well attended and received positive feedback from teachers.  Handouts for Nina’s session can be found on the Oxford Blog. Nuria Marti and Mark Temple also ran an interesting session called:  Doing Double Duty: Building Topic Vocabulary and Improving Reference Skills with the Bilingual Dictionary.

Some photos from the event can be found here in PDF format.
