In 1992 the United Nations designated the 22nd of March an international day to celebrate freshwater. World Water Day focuses on different themes related to water each year. This day is celebrated by organizing activities to make people aware of the importance of water in our everyday lives and the lack of water in some areas of the world.
This year’s theme for World Water Day is “Water and Food Security!”
Here are some activities to celebrate this festival that will help your pupils reflect on how we use water in our everyday lives.
